I'm loving the time I have to catch up on blog posts and reflect on the wonderful experiences I've had these last few months- one of them being a trip to the Oregon Coast to visit my family for Thanksgiving. We were lucky to have a break in the rain for a few hours one morning, and go out to a beautiful covered bridge for a quick session we weren't sure was going to happen! This bridge, Wildcat Creek Bridge, was built in 1925. Construction of these bridges in Oregon started around 1850, and many were built by hand. The coverings, I recently found out, were built to protect the wood trusses from the damp climate of Western Oregon. A fitting place for us Oregonians to take some family pictures :) Here are just a few- how I miss that Oregon green!
